Our library has a story time for preschoolers each week. We have been going for a while and one thing I liked about it is that there are NO snacks. This week the very nice girl that does the story time announced excitedly that next week they will be reading a story about PB and J and then have a fun peanut butter snack. I know I cant take my son but should I say something or send her an email.

I would say something. Maybe suggest that she also read a book about PA. This could be a wonderful teaching opportunity for her. She obviously has no clue.

In this day and age with so many known and emerging peanut allergies among the population of that particular age, I'm shocked that these programs would even consider still serving peanuts in any form.

I would ask them to NOT serve a peanut snack period. Tell them why and offer alternate ideas. You might be the first person who ever introduced them to the idea of PA. Peg

Our local library has a cafe in it. They serve PB sandwichs. So we don't hang out at the library very much. Dash in, get some books, run away.

I would suggest you speak with the library director. I worked in a library for nine years, and know that our director would have wanted to know your feelings.
