Hi! My name is Patti and I have a 3 year old daughter named Katherine who is severely peanut allergic. She is a 5 on the RAST scale. I do not think she is airborne allergic although her exposure to peanuts/peanut products has been minimal. She had her first experience at age 2 1/2 when she mistakenly put a butterfinger ball in her mouth. I removed it immediately and yet she becamed covered in hives and vomited several times. I treated her with Bendaryl as per my pediatricians advice. that has been her only known exposure. I did not know she was peanut allergic at that time but since we had a history of allergies I was keeping her away from the highly allergenic foods. She has two older brothers who have mild food allergies. I am a stay at home mom and we live in East Hanover N.J. USA

Hi Patti
I live in Old Bridge, NJ and have been looking for a support group also. My son is 14 months old and is anaphylaxic to peanut and egg. I was told to carry his Epi-pen wherever we go. I have been unable to find a support group but have been searching and will continue to. If I hear of any, I will certainly let you know.
