I just want to cheer! I am so happy that we got this done! I know that we still have to be vigilant and educate people and we still wont let ds eat anything that doesn't come from OUR home....BUT STILL THIS JUST ROCKS!

My son was diagnosed 2 weeks ago PA. He is three and in preschool. We have been working with the school to formalize thier prevously uncommunicated nut free policy. While in process of doing this a little girl snuck some home made pb cookies onto the playground and gave one to a PA boy. He reacted and they gave benedryl and epi and called 911! That was yesterday....today - tonight really we got the email telling everyone what happened..and an attachment explaining the new NUT FREE policy! Tomorrow the signs will go up.

And my sons bracelet came today. At first he wanted nothing to do with it....but somehow he changed his mind and is wearing it proudly! Did you know that it can go in the tub?

Congrats Sarah. Glad to hear this.
Also how is the little boy doing after his anaphalytic episode? Is he fully recovered?

Actually come to find out it was girl. And she was not in school yesterday but I saw her come in this morning with her parents. She looked very happy and was showing one of the teachers a band aid or bandage on one of her fingers. I don't know her or her family and I only saw them in passing. But she looked very happy to be back at school. She also looked old enough to know better! YKWIM??? That scares me. I wonder if her parents have told her 1000 times not to take food from someone or not at all?

Oh and thanks for the congrats! I know that this is going to be long long road with this allergy but I do feel like DH and I accomplished something and I think it's important to celebrate the victories in life. Large or small.
