Does anyone know of a safe brand of organic cornflakes? If not, a safe national brand would do. (No Kelloggs please-my son has had reactions in the past).

Thanks,
Jaime

Hi Jaime,
Yes.. I have heard Kellogg's USA does not label for potential peanut cross contamination.
If you visit Canada anytime, you can buy the Canadian Kellogg's Corn Flakes. They are made in London Ontario and are safe. Kellogg's Canada does label for peanut cross-contamination.
I hope you can find some safe Corn Flakes down there in the USA

What about General Mills brand corn flakes? I use GM pretty much exclusively for cereal and have not had a problem yet. They are supposed to be good at labelling for cross-contamination.

We tried the Total cornflakes (from General Mills) and everything was fine. Thanks for your help.

The only breakfast cereal maker that we use is U.S. Mills, they have two brands, New Morning and Erewhon. Both are organic. Both make corn flakes. They are a highly allergy-conscious company. They do make one or two varieties (they may only be hot cereals) that have walnuts, but no peanuts in any product. After a long talk with them on the phone, they assured me that they only produce these varieties one or two times a year and only after a massive cleaning process of their equipment. I have developed confidence in this company, but you should check them out yourself. http://www.usmillsinc.com

I just checked out the US Mills website and they do have products containing peanuts now. A graham-wich with peanut butter filling. Does anyone know if it is made on the same line as the regular graham crackers?
