While looking for something completely different I came across this web-site to order Canadian products. I noticed on the candy page, there are little pictures of peanuts with a line through them.

On the chocolate page only the Mars says it's peanut free, but there are other bars there that many of us have checked and feel are safe (like Smarties).

I also noticed there are options other than ordering a case of one type of candy.

********

I've never ordered from this company, but thought others here might want to check it out. I do not work for the company, nor do I get anything for advertising for them.

Hi,
Maybe I can shed some light on the candy question?
We have a peanut free manufacturing facility in Eastern Canada which manufactures some chocolate bars. ie Smarties, aero, kitkat etc. But it should be noted that the candy made in this factory is clearly marked. Candy of those name brands are also available in other sizes but not manufactured in that factory and do not carry the peanut free sign.
We also have several other companies who provide peanut and nut free treats:
DARE.........cookies etc
CHAPMANS ICE CREAM
And there is one other one that I cannot recall the name right now that makes Halloween candy, which is great as it is individually wrapped single mouth size treats, I will try to remember.
Of course not sure how you would obtain these treats if you are state side.
Feel free to contact me if you wish any other info. Our laws regarding food labelling are coming along! Still a long way to go though!
Hope this helps.

Oh and I forgot.......
Mars Bars in Canada are in fact labelled Peanut Free and they have just introduced their dark chocolate Mars bar, also peanut free.
