pThe Anaphylaxis Network lists one for Durham www.anaphylaxis.org/network/whatwedo_support.html as well as a contact number for one that was to start in Toronto./p

My 2 1/2 year old son was just diagnosed with PA. I live in the Mississauga area and wanted to know if you ever found a support group in the area? Or can you give me info on the one in Etobicoke? Thanks!br /

pContact the AAIA (Allergy and Asthma Information Association)and they can let you know about local support groups in Canada www.aaia.ca (click on the AAIA logo on the top right corner of the screen)./p
pIt is also a good starting point for many of us who are just beginning to learn. /p

pBARRIE (AND AREA) ONTARIO/p
pI had called the Simcoe County District Public Health Unit a couple ofbr /
weeks ago to see if they had a nurse that could do a presentation atbr /
Jesse's school. They didn't. However, they gave me the names andbr /
telephone numbers of two different people to contact that may be ofbr /
some assistance to me./p
p The one person I called, Michelle, runs a support group for multiplebr /
food allergies, although mostly PA members, in Barrie. Me, beingbr /
where I am, would still be welcome to attend her meetings. If anyonebr /
is interested, please contact me by e-mail and I will provide herbr /
telephone number./p
p I must say, in simply a very short conversation with this woman, shebr /
came across as a wonderful, caring, concerned individual.br /
She was of great assistance to me with the question that I hadbr /
originally called her about./p
p Her meetings will resume in September on Wednesday nights at 8:00br /
p.m. at Sunnypark Children's Centre./p
p Now, this 42 year old is really kicking herself that she doesn't knowbr /
how to drive!/p
p Best wishes! /p
