One red cheek?

My ds is 2 years old. His left cheek will get red for seemingly no reason. Not all the time but maybe 6 times since Thanksgiving and it seems to last about 2 hours. I keep a food diary but haven't been able to pinpoint anything.
Does this sound like a reaction? Any idea what else it could be?
Thanks!
