Hello! I'm so happy to have found this message board. I have so many questions and am looking forward to any advice or information I can obtain from the postings on this website.

My 20 mth son, Drew, was diagnosed with food allergies (peanut, hazelnut & egg) this past Thursday. I'm trying to get as much information as I can so that I can know how to handle his allergies everyday.

My husband and I have already...

-eliminated the "bad" food from our home (my choice and how I will feel safe!)

-written an e-mail informing friends & family of Drew's allergies (those who we vacation with or eat with a lot)

-filled the prescription for 2 epi-pen jrs. and a trainer pen (yes, we've both practiced) and now I carry one of the pens in my purse at all times

-ordered several PA and food allergy books

-read & searched for numerous PA information articles on the web

I'm sure there are things I'm forgetting!

I look forward to meeting many of you and learning more so that I can be a well-informed & prepared mommy!

Thanks in advance for all the info & question-answering you'll do!
