wlmitch33,
Hi! It's me, Tammy!!! I'm so glad you found this site!! I've been watching for you, and hoping I'd recognize your name!
This place is THE place for info!
As for your question... we have 3 Epis on us at all times (2 in a fanny pack, one on our son in an EBelt), and 3 at school (2 in the office and one on our son).
Read, read, read! You'll learn more here than from your Drs.!!! Really!
Take care,
Tammy

Welcome,
My daughter is 12 and she has two epi-pens in a fanny pack at all times in case the first one does not work or the teacher inject his finger. There is an extra one in the office (NOT LOCKED UP!!)and at least one extra one around the house. My husband also has epi-pens for bee stings.

Please look under the main discussion board as I have raised a couple of old threads regarding this same question.

Lets see... We have 1 epi and a benedryl fastmelt (that fits great inside the original tube on top of the epi under the lid) in 2 seperate Pen Pal Allergy Pack Shot holders ( http://www.allergypack.com/english/page2.html ) My 2 peanut allergic children absolutely love these cases! You can either slide them on your belt or clip them to your belt loop. You can get a single shot holder, double shot holder, or a double that also carries an asthma inhaler!
My son carries his on him at ALL times, everywhere. He also carries a spare in his book bag to school. There is also 1 in the office at school for my daughter who is just slightly allergic and has never had any reaction. I also have 2 at home and generally carry 2 in my purse.

We carry two with us EVERYWHERE!!! I keep two in my purse and two in the diaper bag. That way we are always covered. Since DS is only two he is usually with me or DH and if not he has his diaper bag....I hope I am right that we will never be without his shots! But I feel that we have covered our bases by carrying two at all times.
Stay Safe!
