I just found out they now distribute Peanut Chews. Anyone know anything else about this? Do they manufacture the Peanut Chews in the same plant as their Peeps? We have a bunch in my house but I am not sure if I should continue to let my daughter have them

Some follow-up on Just Born.
Just Born is beginning to distribute peanut chews nationwide; currently they are available only on the East Coast.
They responded to my email yesterday.

We do not use peanuts or nuts at our facility in Bethlehem PA, where MARSHMALLOW PEEPS, MIKE AND IKE, HOT TAMALES, ZOURS, TEENEE BEANEE jelly beans and JUST BORN jelly beans are made. At the present time, PEANUT CHEWS are still made at the Philadelphia facility, and there are no plans to move their production here at this time.
Again, thank you for taking the time to contact us.

I am still nervous about this company because they may need a lot more production facilities to go from regional to national distribution. So I will probably confirm from time to time. Perhaps continuing questions may make them more likely to expand the peanut-candy production in the Philly factory rather than move it to the Bethlehem factory.

We have had them in our area for years now it is nothing new to us just a different manufacturer is all. Separate facilities no contact with the peanut free/nut free products. The peanut chews are made in a separate facility and will continue to stay that way as far as what they told me. (We are on the West Coast)

Our company Cherrybrook Kitchen manufactures in a peanut and tree nut free facility. We make delicious baking mixes(chocolate cake, yellow cake, chocolate chip cookie, sugare cookie and frostings) that are free of peanuts, tree nuts, all dairy and egg. We will also have a gluten free line ready to go for the fall. Our mixes are also all natural, vegan and kosher. Thank you for the Philly swirl site. My kids love pudding/popsicles, its hard to read those labels on the others, Id rather buy the ones I KNOW are peanut free, and not guess.
THANKYOU! PS its nice to know some things you can find at a regular grocery store.

YEP - checked the site today.
We are pleased to be able to inform you that, at this time, all of our confections are gluten, peanut and nut product free. We do not use wheat, barley, rye, oats, triticale, spelt or any of their components and that includes our manufacturing process. We do use corn and soy products in the manufacturing of our products.
