Hi - Was wondering if anyone could recommend places to stay in Nova Scotia or PEI for a last minute trip. Any ideas would be most welcome. My eyes are getting blurry from internet searches and guidebooks, and tips would be most appreciated. TIA.

Better late than never. This place looks good and "food allergies are not a problem."
The link takes you to FAQs as this will allow you to view their policy on food allergies.

Thanks Lovey! We had a great time in Nova Scotia this summer. Toured around, spent time in the Cape Breton area, camped out a little too. We kind of played it by ear and ended up staying at some very pretty places - great ocean views. Now just a distant memory.
Thanks very much for the info - I'll save it for next time.
