Last week during Food Allergy Awareness Week our peanut allergic son had his 7th birthday. I had contacted this reporter and he came to our house and did an interview based on a reaction Peter had to something he ate a month ago. We have never found the allergen. Just wanted to pass on the article. By the way, my name is really Bridget. I had hoped that the paper would hve been able to correct the online version but I guess not. Go to
-click on Search
-type in Burt Constable
-scroll down to the 4th story and that should be it.

Let me know your thoughts!

I really liked your idea of taping the EpiPen to the back on a cabinet door. I am going to do that today.

Hi Bridget! We read the article last week in the paper--we're from Fox River Grove! I wondered if you were a fellow member since the article mentioned Chris. My son (just turned 3) is pa--so any type of article like this that brings awareness to this allergy is greatly appreciated--especially in our area!! Great job!

Am I missing something here? I would like to
read the article but when I click on the
search it brings something up about finding
businesses in the yellow pages or something.
It is not working for me like you described.
Am I the only one??

Be sure the search you are clicking on is the Daily herald search ( it is at the top of the web page in the middle). The search on the side gives you the business thing.

I'd love to comiserate. I'm going to join a support group on the North Shore and maybe we could develop a branch in our area. Let me know!

Thanks rilira! I was trying the wrong

and it was very good.
