Hi All,

I have been lurking on this site since my 21mth old daughter was diagnosed with a Peanut allergy this past July. I want to thank all of you for the many times I have come to this site and learned so much more than my Dr. could ever tell me. I have learned to call manufactures, how to screen a resturant, and the importance of a MedicAlert bracelet.

Now a bit about us. I am a SAHM to Gracie PA and 21mths old and to a 5yrs old son who suffers from environmental allergies (thankfully cleared of any food allergies). We live in Gilbert Arizona and hope to find a support group locally soon.

I hope that I can contribute to the discusions with whatever knowledge I have gained to this point from this site, many books and talks with adult friends with nut allergies (they sometimes have the best insite of how to cope).

Welcome Amanda,
So glad you found us!
There are a couple of people on this board from AZ, but I have no idea how close they are to you. Have you tried posting on the Support Groups forum yet?
I hope you can find some people close to you - it makes such a difference.
Again, welcome.
Amy
