I just seen a new shot that they are trying out that could keep people for having severe reactions to peanuts if they happen to get them on accident. The drug was called TNX-901 and they have tested it on 84 peanut allergic people. The results looked so good. You would have to take the shot once a month but it is so worth it for a peace of mind. It would not be avaiable for about 3-4 years but it sounded so promising!! I have a 2 1/2 year old son with severe PA (along with outher food allergies including cashews) and this gave me a lot of hope for the future. Has anyone else heard anything about this?

Wow - everyone but me must have watched the news or read a paper today. I saw a couple of earlier posts about todays statements - it apparently made lots of t.v. newsbroadcasts.
The media board is also active today with various articles and newspaper stories on what the announcements included. Thanks so much for posting - there are some great Tanox archive files in the media board that give alot of history on this development.
Here's hoping it won't cost $1,000.00/month for the shots. [img][/img]
