I recently joined. I am so relieved that I am not the only paranoid parent out there! My daughter is 5 and has a life threatening peanut allergy. We found out the hard way at 10 months old. Since then, I have been her "bubble" if you will. She is in Kind. and I am sick to my stomach when she is at school! When Friday comes, I can relax for the weekend. I am trying to get peanut ban from ALL classrooms at least for snacks. Then it will at least be confined to the cafeteria. work in progress!! Any suggestions? HELP!

Hi Nuzzy and welcome to the board.

I'm an adult with peanut and sesame seed allergy, so not personally dealing with the food allergy in school issues. (My son wears an epi-pen because of an allergy to insects.) His school does have a peanut-ban for other students though.

Have you looked through the school forum? There are loads of information there. Maybe something might help you.

Have you approached the school about a ban? What about her class - are peanut products allowed in there?

Hi and welcome to the site. I'm not into the school stage yet, my PA son is only 20 months. The thought of daycare scares me enough. I wish you the best of luck in your quest for peanut free classrooms. It really isn't that outrageous a request.
