I just visited the plant of a new company here in Chicago that manufactures allergen-free foods. Their website is enjoylifefoods.com if you want to order (yes, they ship to Canada). The plant is totally peanut and gluten-free. Currently, they only produce cookies, bagels and snack bars, but plan to introduce 3 new products each quarter. (I tasted the granola while I was there - it'll be a wonderful thing for those who are allergic to oats!)
I recommend checking out their website!

Thanks for posting! My dd (TNA as well as PA) will be upset when I tell her that the SunMaid Raisin bread is no longer safe. Now I can give her a safe Cinn/Raisin Bagel.

Just adding that the snack bars contain sesame, which my son is now allergic too. They are going to try to change that ingredient in the future!

Has anybody tasted these products? We eagerly tried the chocolate chip cookies (with my hopes of having them used in our school's lunch program), but I don't think the school/kids would go for it - they don't taste anything like a typical cookie. I'm certain they are much healthier for everybody and wonderful for those who can't eat gluten . . . but the taste and texture are not what I'd hoped. I'm willing to try their other varieties - I want this to work! I was also dissapointed by how expensive they are at the store. $2.00 per cookie or granola bar.
I wish there was a company that was able to produce baked goods without certain allergens (NUTS!, etc.) but not necessarily without anything else in it.
I'm interested to hear about your kids' impressions of these products.
By the way, they were displayed on the same small shelf as big boxes of nuts (not the same company of course)!

I bought 1 pkg. ea. of the sesame & onion bagels, chocolate cookies, lg. chocolate chip cookie & 2 snack bars - cranberry and apple cinnamon. Yesterday Jamie ate the chocolate chip cookie and liked it. She really likes the chocolate cookies alot. She took a snack bar to school today, so don't know how that was yet! And, we each tried a sesame bagel for breakfast this morning -- they are smaller/"heavier" (obviously healthier!) than "regular" bagels, like Lenders for instance. Jamie liked it, but didn't finish the entire thing. I liked mine. Spoke to the Enjoy Life Co. (very nice!) and they told me they're coming out w/ the granola cereal very soon and also some breads & rice krispie-type bars. They really appreciated the positive feedback. I had them put me on their mailing list (sorry, I don't have the toll-free 888 ph. no. right now, but found it on their packaging & I'm sure in their web-site, where you can also respond).
