National Origin and food allergy

Does anyone know if certain nationalities are more likely to have food allergy. My niece is adopted from China and is dealing with some unknown daily hive issues. Sis and I were discussing the fact that they do not know her parents health history.

Is there any research out there on the prevalence of food allergy and nationality?

Thank you.

There is a pretty long survey-type thread of members. I'm trying to remember the title of hte thread, but there was a predominance of folks of Northern European descent. Of course, that could be skewed by the population of the board (we could have a lot of northern European folks as members).

I'll try to look for it. If you did a search for Irish--and I think in Main--you'd probably be able to find it.

The thread is called Are We Related?

I'll try to bump up for ease of use.
