I posted this under doctors but am bumping this up. My mfa son is twelve and really struggling. When he should be growing out of allergies, he is becoming more allergic. He is constantly complaining of stomach aches and clearing his throat after most meals. He has tested negative for EE. His allergist wants to send him to National Jewish which is a mandatory 10 day course of tests, etc. We have been out to Mt. Sinai to see Hugh Sampson and can get back in to see his associate Dr. Sicherer. Does anyone have any suggestions about National Jewish or Dr. Sicherer from Mt Sinai? We are at our wits end and need to do something for him.

thanks

This post won't be that helpful in your decision but I am curious about the special program in Denver. What does it consist of? How is it different from what you would get at Mt Sinai?

I am sorry to hear that your child is having such a difficult time. I've heard fabulous things about Dr. Sicherer. I don't have any experience with him personally.
Dr. Wood (another one of the leading food allergists) once mentioned at a talk that food allergies can be affected by puberty. Your ds' hormone changes might be affecting things.
I hope you get to the bottom of his health issues soon!
