I know that I shouldn't get overly excited because we won't be doing anything for anther 2 years, but his RAST went down this year. Last year is was .83 and now it is .31. The allergist said they consider negative to be .10. I always thought it was .35. We didn't do skin test because he is only 2 1/2 years. As the doctor said, I am not going to start giving him peanuts or anything that may contain because he is still so early. I am hoping that when he is 4 the levels are still low that we could do a food challenge. Do people still react to peanuts with a blood level of .31?

I tested low for peanuts but I became allergic as an adult. I still react badly that I avoid.

It is good news that the numbers are going down. I hope thy keep going down. Good luck.

Well, put it this way.

Ryan's peanut RASTS over the past 6 or 7 years have been >100, 64, and again >100 with bad reactions.

On the other hand, his cashew RAST has always been the highest with something like a 2.1 now. It was 1.54 with no known reactions and he used to eat them everyday (6 month period of time eating them) before we knew about his PA.

But I sure am hopeful for you! Such low numbers are always a blessing with hope.
