I know tootsie products are safe (pn/tn free) but are the packaged "child's play" variety safe? I read in the FAAN newsletter to be careful of multi pack candy bags due to cross contamination issues.
The bag is made up of tootsie pops, tootsie rolls (chocolate and fruit flavored), and dots.
Did anyone purchase these? and if so did you have any problems with it?

Thanks
Shelley

We have this left over from Halloween and my son has eaten some of the tootsie rolls and the suckers. He spit out the dots (I think just b/c they were so chewy and he is only two). Anyway, he didn't have any problems with reactions.

When I contacted the company they said YES - Peanutfree.
The problem with multi-packs is usually that although a particular product (usually chocolate bar) is made on a peanut-free line they are often packaged on a line that does use peanuts/nuts.
Since tootsie-roll doesn't use peanuts/nuts in any of their candy that final risk is eliminated.
