I was reading a post recently about Mother's Margarine. I had never heard of it and I have been trying to do some research. I can not find a website for it and the only place that I can find close to me only gets it for passover. They will also not give me any contact info on it. Does anyone know exactly what is in it? I heard it is dairy and soy free. My DD has PA,DA,EA,SA with some other too. Does anyone know of a website or other contact number? Can you get it at another time other than passover? I am in Vancouver,BC is there any other stores here that carry it? Thank you for any help anyone has, it would be great to be able to use some margarine for cooking.

It's Kosher for Passover and is pretty much only available during passover. I'm pretty sure it's hydrogenated cottonseed or coconut oil, with plenty of kosher-for-passover additives. It should be pareve (no dairy, no meat), soy-free, gluten-free, etc.
You may be able to find Nyafat year-round. It's in a non-refrigerated jar. It's also hydrogenated and is a vegetarian kosher-for-passover schmaltz substitute. Tastes and smells like used fryer oil.

The K for P version is cottonseed oil based.

Another option is Migdal kosher for passover margarine.
I've seen the Mothers Margarine (kosher for passover) as recently at this summer at Grocery Outlet. I believe someone at kwfa found some back in November.
It really depends on how fast the stores sell out their stock. I've heard of some smaller shops having the stuff for sale for a few months after passover.
It should be back on the shelves by early March.

I have not been able find the exact ingriendents on this. Does anyone know or how to contact the makers. I had someone from the ksupermarket.com read them to me and it says veg mono on it. For me to contact the makers I can only get an address in New Jersy. My DD has DA,PA,SA along with others so I need to find out what the veg is since it usuallly is soy. Thanks

I'm pretty sure the label I read indicated that the veg mono & diglycerides were palm or cottonseed oil-based, both of which are common in Kosher-for-Passover foods.

I just purchased MOTHER'S MARGERINE today at Stop and Shop. It is very good for baking: the solid version, in quarters. I use it all the time for my peanut-allergic grandson. However it DOES contain soy. Soy is the main ingredient, and is listed first in the list of ingredients. Mother's Margerine is distributed by:Mother's Food Products,Inc.; Elmwood Park, N.J.07407 Hope this helps you.

Yes, the regular Mother's margarine contains soy. It is the Kosher for Passover version of Mother's that is soy and dairy free (corn free, too, I believe)
