This morning I caught the mom and tot thanking the nurse on national TV. Wish I knew if it was CBS or NBC, but recuperating from surgery I channel surf too much.

It did answer a few questions that had been raised. Epi-pen was in the car! Too far away from the beach where the reaction took place. That's what mom said.

As for what he ate, or if this was a first reaction, we didn't get the info.

The nurse was on a field trip with her daughter's class and knew they had an Epi-pen because one of the children had food allergies. So she used that one.

Anyone else see this?

It was on the CBS early show!
I just went to CBS.com, look under shows and click on the early show and it shows the whole story- I thought it was a little disappointing that the Mom did not talk more about how scary and severe it was, and why the helk she did not have his meds with her!
This could have been an amzing oportunity to talk about the seriousness of deadly food allergies and she took the time to elaborate on a few hives and quickly seemed to downplay his severe facial swelling!
Just my thoughts...
