Hi NaomiR -- I just wanted to pass this information about celiac disease along to you in case you're interested.

My aunt is active in a celiac support group and told me about Dr. Kenneth Fine. He himself has celiac disease, as well as his daughter, and he has done a lot of research on it at Baylor University. He runs a lab that will test for celiac -- I don't think you need a dr's order or anything. In case you have trouble with your pediatrician giving you a referral to a gastroenterologist, I thought you might want to know about this. If you're interested, his website is: http://www.finerhealth.com/.

Also, since you said you've done a lot of research on the web already you may not need this, but just in case here's a web page that has a ton of links to other celiac cites, articles, research, etc.:

Hope this helps. Let me know how your son's test results turn out. I'll be praying for him.

Thanks Kami's Mom-
I will keep these websites. The prices for the tests are quite high. I'm going to try to go through the ped. and have the insurance cover it.
Will let you know whenever the test is done.
