Just thought I'd give everyone an update on our situation (I have the child the is mi with PA and in a sped class)

I wrote up a health plan with my doctor's help and the school had no problem with it. However. Zackary had been in school a month before anyone admitted that when the part-time nurse was not there, there was no one who would or could administer his medication in the event he had a reaction. They were just going to wait for an ambulance to arrive.

Needless to say I was upset. I went to the principal and said my son could not attend school given the unsafe nature of the environment. Fortunately, the matter was resolved in a day and a half and now 7 people have been trained.

I'm a bit peeved with the school nurse as she said she had "handled" everything.

Thanks for your help. If it hadn't been for you guys I would never have even heard about a health plan.

We'll see how the rest of the year goes. Cross your fingers for us.
