pI have tried today to reach somebody at the McCain food company with no luck. I keep coming up with American phone numbers that cannot be reached through my dialing area. The Canadian website is also not working. Has anyone ever contacted this company about their labelling practises? If yes I would appreciate it if you could let me know what you found out. Thank you. Apparently McCain's has an excellent allergy awareness policy in place. I have a link that describes which initiatives are in place in their manufacturing facility. www.nuconnexions.com/Resources/companies.htm#mccain
This website does recommend that you phone the manufacturer directly, as the information on this website can change, but I've never had a problem with them.

I checked some of the companies at the nuconnections site and was wondering about Nestles. I think I have read something about it not being safe and yet here it seems fine.Anybody have any feedback?

I was given a list of "OK stuff" by my allergist almost a week ago and some nestle chocolate was on it - smarties, aero, kitkat and maybe one more. You never know though - it may have changed!

Have you checked www.macain.com? Fortunately, (although i havent tried it) I see that they allow emails unlike some manufacturers who dont want to be bombarded with emails (such as Tim Hortons).
Nestle does have good labelling practices. Most anything of theirs that i have seen is labelled with "may contain" or not, which tells me theyre pa aware! I trust their labels.
