pI am MattsDad, husband of MattsMom. I am making my first appearance here. MattsMom has told me I needed to get on and post but I never had that much to say. The Spokane school system has changed that./p

MattsDad - welcome to the site. My husband also joined a few weeks ago (I've been posting since last July). He said he wouldn't use the name "Cayley's Dad" because his opinions don't always mesh with mine, so he figured he would spare me any "embarrassment" I may endure by being associated with his posts! Having said that, we are exactly the same in regard to the seriousness of this allergy, and Cayley's safety, it's just that he's WAY more opiniated than I.
I realize this site is truly overwhelming at first, even if you've been dealing with multiple allergies for a while, just from the sheer amount of reading you have to do here. That's what always deters my husband from posting - the "catching up" he has to do in order not to duplicate something that's already been said, etc.
I'm always happy to see the dads posting once in a while. The Spokane tragedy was easily preventable, and I can see why it would inspire you to start posting - I can't believe it had to take a young boy's death to spotlight our precarious situation in our children's schools.
Good luck and say hi to MattsMom for me.

Hi neighbor! Glad to see you posting - if only Mark would get as involved as you do...

My DH gives me suggestions on what "the board women should do" if you get my drift - but he has yet to visit this site or post.
You are so welcome here - we need to get both parents involved at all levels.
