Went to the local Lion's Club fair last night. Lot's of rides, games, and food... Didn't see any nuts though. They even used jimmies on the candy apples. Not that DS even thought about food -- the rides! the rides!

Anyway had a great time.

Hi Cindy,
Jimmies are those little candies you sometimes see ice cream dipped in. I've seen two kinds, chocolate and rainbow. I'm not sure if they're PA safe, but we didn't buy food anyway. I've always seen candy apples rolled in crushed nuts so this was a nice surprise.

tando, do you know it's probably the rare occasion where I have seen a candy apple rolled in peanuts. Can't remember the last time it's that long ago (remembering that I have a memory like an elephant ).
Usually the candied apples I see aren't done with caramel but clear gucky syrupy stuff and never rolled in anything.
Perhaps I'll see different at the circus on Monday, not sure?
I understand what you mean by jimmies. I think I just call them sprinkles, I don't know.
But again, how wonderful to be able to navigate through a fair safely.

Hi Cindy,
Yes. Sprinkles. Interesting. Both here in MA and in CA I've nearly almost seen candy apples with carmel and rolled in nuts. This was the first time rolled in jimmies.
Have fun at the circus!

tando, thank-you about the circus. I am a bit nervous but I have found out that we are going to the first show (at first I thought there was only one show, I don't know if they added a second one or not). So, I'm a bit more okay with that.
Have to call the actual business directory or whatever of the town tomorrow because there is no listing in the phone book for the arena where the circus is being held. Not even quite sure where it is, just kinda know.
Am hoping that I can speak with someone and see if we can get aisle seats or something, should we feel uncomfortable and have to make a quick exit.
Have spoken with my son and he is totally okay with going, is aware that we might have to leave, etc.
So, hoping it will be okay.
Thank-you, though.
