I started out with a really great first week of school. all my friends sat with me at lunch at the "no peanut table". then this week(the second week of school) none of my friends wanted to sit at the no peanut table with me at lunch because they are starting to think that the table is lame, so I had to sit alone at lunch:( What should I do?

Sorry to hear about that! I used to have to sit at the "peanut/nut free" table at lunch when I was in school as well. If you don't have a limit on the amount of people you can have at you table invite a few friends so there is a bunch of you there - or try the opposite and tell them you're only allowed one friend and are very choosy about it, it might make them want to sit there just a little bit more (adds some exclusivity to it all). Or as mentioned in some of the other posts, make some new friends who don't think the table is lame - they are out there, trust me! Let me know if you want to chat anymore about it!

I agree with MadelynesMom. They are not eating just be at the PF table, they should be eating with you! I know it is hard to hear when you are in MS/HS.
A good friend will
... eat with you at your table no matter what
... save the PBJ & Reeses for when she is at home
... go with you to fast food when the rest of the team is eating at Texas Roadhouse (peanuts like confetti!)
... choose a Birthday Party restaurant that has safe options
She will be at your side and be your best advocate.
You may never have a crowd, but you will have a true friend.

I just wanted to chime in as well.
I know someone who was going through something similar and decided to take a proactive approach. As a 6th grader, she made a presentation and a video that she showed to her classroom about what the allergy was, what could happen and what her daily life was like. The teacher and kids liked it so much, she was asked to show it to the 7th and 8th grades in her school. Now an 8th grader, she has given the presentation every year and is now training a 6th grader to take over as she moves to the high school next year. She said it really helped her to feel like she had power. Like she owned the allergy rather than it owning her. Kids in her class have told her are much more understanding and supportive now
I guess I'm wondering if something like that might help to them to understand how hard they are making things.
