I just wanted to pass on some info that I got from Lea & Perrins today about their Worchestershire sauce and Steak Sauce. I called their #1-800-987-4674 and spoke with Tom. He said all Lea&Perrins products are not made with any kind of peanut or nut ingredients at all. And that there is no chance of cross-contamination because they only make their products. He said they would stand behind this and that their products are made from fresh ingredients and they use no artificial flavors. He was very knowledgable and said he gets this question a lot. I was very happy with them. I just wanted to pass this info along for everyone else!!

Thanks for posting this! I have passed up a few recipes that called for Worchestershire sauce because of possible issues. Didn't feel it was worth calling myself because of how infrequently I would use it.
Anyway, thanks for your post!

But there is fish in it, if anyone is trying to avoid that.

Most especially anchovies, which would land *me* in hospital.
Last time hubby used this sauce, I had to leave the house. (ended up spending 40$ at Chapters ;-) sweet revenge)
