no sticker here yet- No ice cream either
no all ours closed down but that stinks. i will email them.
I called their 800# (from their website) this morning- the rep told me they are not using any kinds of nuts in any of their products. She said their is the possible cross contamination issue if an employee ate PB and touched something, etc...but they have always advised that when I've checked. Some of their toppings look like nuts- but according to the rep- they haven't started adding. Would be great if someone else called and made sure they get the same answer. It also wouldn't hurt if your inlaws were thinking of getting some from that store for you- to talk to the manager--I always doublecheck when we are lucky enough to be near a Krispy Kreme.
This was the Krispy Kreme in the Mohegan Sun Casino. The woman that she spoke to was the manager and she told them it was their first time using tree nuts and that all the KK's were featuring them in February. As I said, we no longer have a KK near us. So, when my parents visit the casino every few months, they ususally pick her up some donuts.
This is not true as per corporate headquarters- (I am in their home state of NC)- just called to recheck and as long as bought directly from the franchise where they make them- no peanuts/tree nuts. Now if they are sent to a re-seller there is a possible cross-contamination risk depending on what they were next to.
Not sure what this franchise was doing, but this is not their policy.
just received a response to my email and its the same news. they dont knowingly put nuts in their products and its our final decision if we want to consume them or not
I got the same response today: no peanut or nut ingredients. They must be getting a flurry of questions today!
