Hi everyone!

We've had Rotavirus, a different tummy bug, and then a cold make it's way through most of the family this past month.

I am also suffering from a paralyzed vocal cord and had to have surgery to at least temporarily give me some sort of voice while we wait to see if this will heal.

Between all that and the holidays, I have hardly have time to peruse PA.com but intend to catch up in the coming days.

We're doing okay..just okay. Matthew is being evaluated for the GT program. His teacher is a nightmare. Between her obvious resentment about the 504 process itself, and our demands that Matthew not just coast through the year, we just don't get along. No other way to describe it.

As I've stated before I'm SO thankful for the 504. We've had a few situations pop up and it's SO nice to refer them to the 504, or remind them of what they agreed to. No bargaining, or asking for favors..they just do it!

We'll be looking to review it and prepare for next year in a couple of months. I look forward to it (because we've learned so much since this time last year), and I dread it because sometimes I'm just tired of it.

I hope everyone is having a good/safe year!

Maddy --
When you have some time (I know, rare occurrence!) -- would you please check out this thread in Main with new member asking for info as to EFMP designation for PA child -- just thought you may have had some info or experience you might add there --

Sorry the teacher situation is not improved -- at least the school year is 1/2 over!!
