We went to Joe's Crab Shack the other night and I asked the manager about the use of peanut products, and specifically peanut oil. I explained that my son has a life threatening allergy to peanuts. His eyes widened and he said he would check into it. Then he turned around and told me that most restaurants use a mixture of oils and there was a great possibility that peanut oil is used. Naturally, I didn't feed Joshua their food and was very relieved that I'd brought some mac & cheese for just in case. Another note: we've been there before and I'd asked the waitress about the use of peanut oil. she told me definitely "No peanut oil".
