I've just re-read this thread, and wonder if KIMMO's swollen gland is the same sort of reaction that DD is experiencing now - swollen glands, that the doctor is calling viral/bacterial tonsillitis.
DD ate lettuce in a sandwich - she is PA/TNA and Oral allergy. She is sure that this was from something she ate. (She's 20, and would know.) The antibiotic isn't doing too much yet, but can't get into a doctor until later this week.
