FYI- Ians Natural Foods produces some wonderful peanut, tree nut, dairy, gluten FREE products that we use and love. Alpahtot french fries, onion rings, chicken nuggets, stix, fish sticks, etc.. I e mail them all the time and they are great about researching new products. So far- the one that is not safe is the rotini and meatballs. It may cross in the meatball factory with pine-nuts. For some of you that may be okay....They also make a frozen mac and cheese that is totally peanut and tree nut free. The food is good and they are incredibly responsive and thorough in their research!!

We love Ian's and use many of their products. Just be careful about fish and eggs, which they do use in some of their products.

I appreciate what Ian's does, but we do not like their frozen products at all.

My dd use to eat their products then recently had reactions to the products that said nut free wheat free soy free egg free - somewhere along the line something is off. We don't use them anymore.

toomanynuts -

Would you mind posting which items your dd had problems with? We have six or seven boxes each of the fish sticks and chicken nuggets in the freezer (had to order them by the case)...they are awfully easy for a quick lunch, but **not** worth a reaction.

M tends to go straight for losing consciousness anymore...

Thanks -

we LOVE ian's in our house. my dd has a dairy allergy, in addition to PA and TNA and she loves the taste (turkey corn dogs, chicken nuggets, supertots) and i love them because, not only are they something quick and easy to make, but they are nutritious.

the only product i am hesitant about are the fish sticks. she has tested negative to all shellfish, but at 4 years old, i am still cautious about it. the rep at ian's told me that they do not test for shellfish and that the supplier that they get the pollock from does have shrimp in their facility. so i think we are holding off on trying these; however, i have to say i was totally impressed that the rep had the answers he had about the fish -- he knew they didn't test for shellfish, he knew the supplier, and he knew what that supplier had in their facility.

I just called my local grocery store today, and recommended that they order the Alphatots, Cheeseburgers and Cheese Pizza.

Anyone eat these items?

They also said that they have waffles and fish sticks, but I avoid fish.

My dd ate the Alphatots, the frozen dinners and the chicken nuggets. She only ate the ones that were listed as nut free, wheat free, ect.
