I am so happy with my dd's school situation that I wanted to share. Maybe some of you are close enough to send your children to the school?!
DD's private school (Lakeview Academy) has a school chef who is extremely knowledgeable about allergies and knows each of the children personally. He helps them fix their plates each day during lunch. The best part is that pn and tn are basically not used other than the pbj that they serve (which are made on a separate counter than anythign else and packaged in special wraps).
Our Chef is going to be traveling to teach other schools how to have a safe kitchen/cafeteria.
I almost cried when he showed me that dd could eat a cookie and it was safe. I have never trusted anyone to give her a cookie I didn't make.....well, at least not since our ER visit!
Anyway, I just wanted to share.
