Do you think you are a better volunteer at your child's school due to their allergy? Would you do the same things if your child was not allergic to peanuts? For example, going on field trips, carrying treats, going to class parties and so on.
How much would you do??

I definately do more because of the vigilance required of the allergies dd has. I have no family support or help at all with my dd(and a son due in January) and I looked forward to the 2 hours of free time when she would go to preschool. What i found was that school ate up more of my time than it freed up, with all the research I have had to do on food, the field trips and parties. Then add in the baking for every unexpected and expected occasion..... definately doing more than I would have otherwise. becca
