Were you treated for Group B strep while pregnant with your PA child?

I was.

I can't remember being treated again for my daughter.

I actually don't even know what the heck Group B strep is.

Best wishes!

Possibly in labour. I was treated for *something* and given antibiotics. The only reason I remember is that they tried to give me penicillin to which I am allergic, even if there was a RED bracelet on my arm warning them.
Oh yeah, for the CSection, they disinfected me with iodine, to which I am anaphylactic.
5 days later, I was still so swollen that I didn't fit in the pregnancy dress I wore when I came in.

yes, during last week of pregnancy.
told doc that I was sure I still had it, but she didnt give me any more antibiotics.
William devleoped symptoms of B-strep infection hours after birth, after taking him home, he was given antibiotics and had some of his nasty pus filled spots squesed and tested.
Did that baby sceam or what!!! Thought I would go deaf!!!!!
Williams symptoms were fairly mild and we just took him home with antibiotics.

Given antibiotics during delivery and probably will be again. Hoping to counteract with probiotics this time.

Wasn't treated for Group B Strep while pregnant with either child. Oldest cub has formal diagnosis PA/Nuts, Youngest cub has an incomplete diagnosis of PA. He has no formal diagnosis, but does have a "positive" blood test for PA.

yes, had antibiotics a two weeks before birth, still felt that the problem had not cleared up.
William had mild b-strep hours after birth. on antibiotics for a while.
William was covered in large red spots about a 1/2 inch wide with a raised pustle in the centre ( nice, beautiful baby!)
was breastfeeding well , so sent home from hospital.
