Cayley's Mom, see, now that would take a functioning brain to accomplish that. For me, I think I'm better just using the orange direction arrows! LOL! Sad to say, I know. But, this is wonderful information for a lot of people to have.
Thank-you for taking the time to let us know how to do it. I know I also just recently asked how to make something bold and Connie
very kindly answered me on that one. I really do appreciate it.
Best wishes!

Sharon - Don't beat yourself up - you did all the right things, and unless you lock yourself in your room (which probably sounds pretty good about now), you couldn't have done anything differently. I hope you are feeling fine now.

Gawd how I sometimes wish I could just jump through the screen and hug you all so tightly!
I'm feeling a bit yech today but that is par for the course.....
Nick ! thank you, I found a site and ordered two epibelts, one for one pen and one for two for travelling....living in the praries makes it necessary to always have two handy when we go somewhere by car......it also makes me wonder if we PA families should have a cell phone in the car......I know out here I will definately get one before attempting any trips by car!
The man man on the phone informed me that because I mentioned this site, Chris is going to be getting a donation to peanut allergy.com *big smile*. That made me feel so good because of all the hard work that Chris does!
You can be sure that my epi didn't leave my side and is going to become my "side-kick" always!
*laughing* because of this incident I did find out that I have a new allergy to enjoy though ....I have five burning dots on my body from the ekg leads ....Thank goodness it's under my shirt or nobody would come close.....Sheesh, now I can't wear that sexy, see-through blouse that I saw on the Victoria Secret site that somebody mentioned in the OFF TOPIC thread ...yep that is my story and I'm sticking to it .......(shhh we can't say a thing about this 50 year old flabby body!)
Thank you all for your support......
*hugs*

SharonA., you are just SO sweet. I am glad that you're feeling better and were able to order the Epi-belts. I think the cell phone is probably a good idea. I know that I had started a thread about if you felt nervous when your child was at school and most everyone responded that they had a cell phone, very often with the school as the only people that had the phone number just in case of a child's reaction at school. It makes perfect sense to me (non-driver and non-car-owner that I am).
I have often times tried to encourage my girlfriend, who does not have PA, but a multitude of serious illnesses, and who often drives alone or with her young children (7 and two 5 years olds) that she should get one. I also feel she should get a MedicAlert bracelet also for this very reason. However.
I think it's an excellent idea, just another thing to put on your PA "need" list and figure out it's importance to you.
I am so glad to see you in here posting and feeling somewhat better. Now, as far as that Victoria Secret website, well, I don't have the nerve to check that one out (something to do with a 41 year old flabby body well concealed with baggy offbeat clothing!).
*Hugs* to you to SharonA., through Cyberspace.
Best wishes!

Hi All
Well tomorrow I am off to Montreal to see my parents and sons *YIPPEE*
It's been a really good week and although I am once again scared to eat, I'm really doing okay .....I went to visit a friend in Seattle this week and would not eat for the entire time I was away.....for some reason, the different brands and labeling scared me but what the heck ...this old doll can afford to loose some weight!
What I thought was so very nice was the concern that people who have not seen me since my PA diagnosis, are showing ....I really was not too sure what reactions I would get since so many people have had negative family responses.....
First my friend in Seattle told me that he did not eat peanuts from the time we decided to visit with eachother .....*laughing* then he said it was safe to kiss him hello!
My mom of 83 told me today that she sent her older sister out shopping today .....she didn't want to go herself because she just had eye surgery and didn't want to make a mistake ......Reva spent over 3 hours making a small order just because she read every label before she bought anything ....Mom and Dad stayed home and cleaned the kitchen just to make sure that nothing with peanuts left residue on the counters .....I had told them not to worry as I would go shopping after I arrived but they want to make sure I don't go hungry and Mom is going to cook all my favorite Friday night foods *big smile* ......although I truly didn't want them to go to any trouble for me as Mom is the baby in the family, I do feel so good that they are taking this seriously and making sure that my visit will be safe!
My sister is preparing her school's policy on peanut allergy so that I can copy it and forward to anybody who wants it....she teaches in a Jewish nursery school and there are several children with those "funny needle pens" ....she told me that she is clipping articles for me on peanut allergy and can't wait to give me a "nut free hug from a nut!"
I'm really so very excited now and not as apprehensive that this stupid allergy will be an inconvenience or problem that will affect our time together .....
Sharon (who is pushing the hours away until she is home!!!)

Sharon- Your post just brought tears to my eyes. I am so glad your family is being so supportive and thoughtful of your PA! I only wish my family would go to such lengths to assure my son's safety. =( I hope you have a wonderfully happy and safe time with your loved ones! =)

Carolyn ....about 7 am the 28th watch for a little red paracute dropping down over Midland .....do you want some cheese cake too if they didn't top it with nuts???
MattsMom ....I can totally understand your feelings .....all I can say is sometimes it's not the people who's blood you share who are truly your "family"....sometimes it's the people who give you a piece of their heart and then some of the pain does ease ...I hope your life is filled with those.......
Cindy thank you so much for your kind wishes.....I'll miss you all this week and look forward to hearing that this week was filled with absolutely wonderful healthy and happy times for you all .....
Stay safe
*hugs*

Sharon - good 2 hear UR feeling better & have ordered the E-Belts. I've been using mine for a week now and it sure is good 2 know that it protects the "pen" so much better than the old bum-bag ("fanny pack", to you! ) did. I'm going 2 send a short e-mail testimonial 2 Chris @ Zoni, like he asked me if I would... The belt is also a talking point, allowing me 2 explain the allergy in my own terms...
Stay safe...
