Anyone been as a family or with the school? Did you find any particular PA concerns?

My guy has a field trip there on Friday - he's going snow tubing (choice of skiing, cross country, tubing and snowboarding).

In my head I've assessed it as "low risk", but of course, as the day gets closer (Friday), I have to second guess myself.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks and best wishes! [img][/img]

There but for the Grace of God, go I.

Sorry I didn't see this sooner. Hope he had a great and safe trip.
I guess the only concern I would have would be whether people would recognize my child all bundled up in snow coat etc if he ever had an allergic episode. I know that is one thing I addressed at school is if my son is having a reaction in the school yard how will the teacher recognize that it is one of the PA students in the school. He could be lying down in the snow having issues breathing and the teacher on duty could think he is just playing. I know that I have questioned having some sort of florescent tag on him so that if he is down a teacher on duty would see the tag, know it is a student with allergies and go investigate.
Hope this helps for next time. Again sorry I responded late.

Sorry I did not see your post sooner.
The person who runs the ski programs at Horseshoe Valley has a severly PA child and is very aware. The Kid's Corral ski program is nut free and all the staff are trained with epi-pens. I know this since my mom actually works at the resort and went through the training. In the main lodge there is peanut products in the cafeteria and in the vending machine but my kids have never had an issue.
I hope his visit went well.
