So, I e-mailed them last week and asked if ANY of their products run the risk of cross contamination with Peanuts/TN and this is the VAGUE and run of the mill response I rec'd. I imagine if there was NO chance they would have come out and said so.
Thank you for your recent e-mail to Horizon Organic. We appreciate your interest in our products.
Effective January 1, 2006, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) required all food labels to clearly state if the products contain any ingredients that contain proteins derived from the eight major allergenic foods.
As a result of the Food Allergen Labeling and Consumer Protection Act of 2004 (FALCPA), manufacturers are required to identify the presence of ingredients that contain protein derived from milk, eggs, fish, crustacean shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, or soybeans in the list of ingredients.
Horizon Organic is in full compliance with this act and is committed to providing high-quality foods, while following good manufacturing practices throughout our production facilities.
The FALCPA is related to ingredients only. The FDA does not require food manufacturers to list ingredients which could be a result of possible cross-contamination as a result of being produced on shared equipment, adjacent equipment, from raw material suppliers, or within the distribution process.
Thanks again for contacting the Consumer Affairs Department.

I find that a lot of the organic foods have poor labeling policies.
Just my opinion.
