I got this from a local allergy support group and found that while I think pork fat is proof of god that this works really well with ground turkey!
1 lb ground meat
1 teaspoon rubbed sage
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon poultry seasoning
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 pinch ground allspice
thoroughly mix all - from into patties - (I make 8 - recipe called for 6) chill for at least an hour - fry in a skillet 3-4 minutes a side until thoroughly cooked.
chanda I hope you see this...i thought of you as it works so well with turkey and it's really very good. I make a batch and serve to ds for breakfest or lunch.
Oh thanks Sarah...a little birdy said you posted to me!! Is this more of a breakfast sausage then?? I usually just buy Jenni-o breakfast-turkey links, but I jotted your recipe down, it does sound VERY yummy!!!! Thanks for thinking of me

Chanda -yes it is a breakfest sausage - but I also give it to ds for lunch...now he is only almost 4 so it may not be cool in elem to eat something like that...but I'll tell ya...I get the Jeaneo ground turkey at Costco in packs of 4 and then freeze it until I need it. This recipe is very good with turkey...better than pork...I never would have thought it.
