I've been lurking on these boards since my daughter was diagnosed at the end of May. She has been diagnosed with a peanut allergy and a tree nut allergy. I've learned quite a bit from just reading other posts, but I decided to register because this is such a great site. I'm being brave. I'm normally very sensitive and shy, but I know doing things like this will be beneficial to my daughter, so here I am! I could have used your support a while ago! I think you would be shocked if you read some of the messages about peanut allergies on the earlychildhood.com message boards! I was very upset and did my best to explain the needs of those with allergies, but some people just don't get it. So here I am on a website where I will hopefully find support and caring rather than the battle I faced on those message boards!
