I guess I'd be a yes and a no...
We do eat MUCH healthier, since I started doing everything at home. I too am disgusted by what goes in all the processed food. I jumped on the organic bandwagon, do my own bread, cookies, yogurt, ice cream etc...
The problem is that it's too good, and we've been putting on weight (well, I have anyway). At least it's healthy fat LOL...
Rather, I haven't put on weight, I just didn't lose any since my last pregnancy, and I really should. Not 105 lbs, like cathlina - congrats btw!!!, but a good 25 could go. I just love my cookies too much.
However, I no longer bake brownies, the sugar content is just way too high, even when done at home. Before I would not have hesitated to buy brownies without regards to the calories in it. Now I naturally step back.
