I was brousing another web site about allergies in general and there was a bit of information about a procedure to treat allergies (food allergies included) through acupuncture. When I asked the nurse at my son's allergist office about this (my son is PA) all the nurse would tell me was that the doctor wouldn't support it. I also e-mailed the Food Allergy Network and all they would say is that they wouldn't support it either. Has anyone else ever heard of this?
Has anyone ever heard of an acupuncture treatment for PA?

Do a search on the boards about NAET. It is a very heated topic but i think you will get your questions answered.
I have heard from a mother that her 17 year old daughter's asthma cleared considerably after several acupuncture sessions. Don't know how it would work with an allergy.
I quickly browsed the site on NAET, didn't have much time to read everything. It just seemed like when I asked my son's allergist and the FAN, that they were tight-lipped and didn't want to talk about it. Thought they should have been nicer about keeping parents of PA kids informed - even if they don't professionally support it. I had just wanted info on it so I could be kept informed on all our options.
