I know it's a little early, but I e-mailed DS's teacher about what they do for their Halloween and the policy on candy, etc.

She said she does not allow candy for Halloween parties. AMEN!! Finally a teacher with a brain. They will make something to eat for the party, with my approval, of course. I am so happy to
hear this. She does hand out pencils, notebooks, stickers, etc.
