I recently received my newsletter from a Michigan group called "Food Anaphylaxis Education". It's wonderful... here are some of the articles in this issue:

~College Students and Food Allergies: Research Update
~The Use of Eppinepherine in Anaphylaxis: Immediacy Overrules Hesitation
~Air Travel
~Preparing for and Navigating the Adolescnet Years
~What About Middle School?
~Severe Food Allergies in the Ann Arbor Public Schools
~Listening to the Children!

This organization focuses on Michigan public schools and utilizes mighty resources from the University of Michigan and Madonna Univerisity. They state their mission as "...an educational organization dedicated to increasing public awareness of the existence and seriousness of food-induced anaphylaxis. F.A.E. is not a support group."

In addition to their newsletter (twice a year), they list multiple seminars for school nurses and school administrators.

I highly recommend this outstanding organization. And if you happen to have the good fortune of living in Michigan, you've got an amazing group of professionals knocking at your doorstep offering to help you...

I can't remember how much it cost to join (whatever it was it was worth every penny to me). Here's their website:

Gail,
I meant to come back in here and thank you for posting this link/info...it's a REALLY great resource for the school. It will especially helpful to my district b/c we use "pods" here and that's one of the things they keep using as an excuse of being impossible. (too many class rooms/areas with pods to eliminate all pnut products)
Thanks for posting!

Bumping up for darenberg.
I think this group has disbanded, but I wonder if there is a way to still connect with some of the key members?
