My kids and I were pleasantly surprised to find toys and peanut-free candy being given out as prizes at our school carnival. We almost didn't go because I didn't have time to make sure it was safe beforehand and didn't want them to be disappointed. I explained before we went that I didn't know if we would be able to participate or not, but we would go and see. The only thing we didn't participate in was the cake walk (egg is an issue for DS) but even there I did not see anything with obvious nuts on it. Anyway, without any input from me the organizers did a great job--much better than the Valentine's day activities which included Snicker's candy-grams! Could they finally be getting it? I am going to thank the Carnival volunteers at the next PTA meeting!
