that is very scary....they wanted me to do a challenge but his test came back to high. I investigated the "challenge" and alot of doctors say that it should not be done if the child is young and not as verbal.
Basically what they do is have a controlled environment and give the child extremely small amounts of Peanut product and wait to see his reaction, then they increase the amount until a reaction is noted.
I know they say unless it is ingested that it is hard to say from blood test/scratch test that the allergy is severe but I feel that it is too huge of a gamble for my child as his results were very high and severe. I wish you all the best.
