Pizza Hut now has PN warnings in their sauce etc. for peanuts. I heard about this on my other group and went on their website. What a shame.

Check out the Restaurant section. There was a few threads early in 2007 regarding Pizza Hut being no longer safe.
(I would link, but I don't know how!)

Actually I think the original (and longest) thread was in the Main Discussion forum. We wrote to them a couple of times with NO replies at all. Very poor customer service. DH wants me to print out the PH allergen list and take it to our local PH so we can tell them exactly why we don't go there anymore but I haven't had the chance. Honestly I don't think it'll make a difference. It really makes me want to boycott Pepsi altogether but we don't have many choices and do go to KFC and Taco Bell a lot, and I would love to try A&W someday. And I love to drink Pepsi. Can't give that up.

Ya know, I'm 1/2 Italian and don't even know how they would have PN issues with sauce. They need an Italian in that kitchen lol. That's Crazy!!
If you go onto their Main Website you can find the allergens page. That's where I confirmed it.

Holy Cow. I wonder if this is just recent. My son has eating Pizza Hut the last two years (2005/2006) at the our trip to the Santa Cruz Boardwalk. They have Pizza Hut at some Taco Bells too. We've never had a problem, but will avoid now. Thanks for the info. I noticed the allergen page on their website is the same as Taco Bell's.

I was thinking it was first noticed by someone here in January or maybe even December of last year.

What a shame. Not that they have stellar pizza....but my son participates in the Book It program. In fact, we still have a couple coupons from last year, that I was going to take him to redeem this weekend after his first soccer game! I did email Pizza Hut & told them what a disappointment it was to hear of this. They have a "contact us" on their site. I'll let you know if I hear anything.

Hi, Kelly and others. I know some of you are new! Welcome.
To make the boards easier to search and make it easier to find information, it is good to do a search before you post a new topic. There is a thread about Pizza Hut in the Restaurant section about the situation there. Just keeps the information together and easier to find later.
Just a FYI...have a nice day....

MFA Mom,
Thanks for that info. Yes I am new and didn't realize that. I'll check next time.

I don't think it's a big deal to repost some things. Some new people may have come here since that old post (which was quite a long time ago) that wouldn't have even dreamt pizza hut was now unsafe after being 'safe' for so long. They wouldn't have thought to look up pizza hut specifically (since they still may have believed it to be safe). In those cases these threads are appropriate. Also information changes so much. I'm sure there are tons of old threads about unsafe foods that no longer even apply anymore because the foods may have changed labelling, manufacturing processes, etc.
