erik - to be honest, I don't know what Willy Wonka looks like ... since I am also in the computer field I did not come with the pre-disposition of you being a geeky technie (especially since I know how many good looking techies there are out there!) I thought you would have dark brown or black really really curly hair - not sure why, especially since the only other person I know by the same name has straight blonde hair!
I guess with you being the 'candy man' and chocolate guru and all, I figured your hair would be wound up tight from all the caffeine!

Hi Rita,
Actually, you were right - I am a computer geek - I even wear glasses too.
Actually, I probably get less caffeine than most people since I drink fruit juice rather than coffee, and the amount of chocolate I really do eat is not as high as everyone would think. Although I guess I do average one chocolate bar a day.

Hi Everyone
Well we are home from Toronto. I am really glad I was able to meet everyone - it was interesting to see how much we had in common! And I owe Cayley'sMom (and her poor husband) a huge favour for helping me to make it home to my sister's house and not leaving me stranded somewhere in the "big city" . Actually this is the first trip my kids have made where they have actually seen downtown Toronto and it was pretty funny to see their reactions to the big buildings as the train pulled in to Union station.
The trip home was a little more stressful than the one there. Ottawa - Toronto they sold nothing unsafe but Toronto - Ottawa Via was actually selling packages of peanuts, which was a surprise to me since I didn't think of checking ahead of time. I was able to talk to the person selling(are they called conductors these days or not?) and keep them out of or car but she was not very aware of allergies. I guess the trains are yet another sector that needs to be dealt with....
Anyway I am still keen on organizing an Ottawa thing. There were bits of interest in something around tulip festival time. I have checked and that is on the weekends from May 1 to 19 so maybe we can set something up!
Once again it was great to meet you all and we missed everyone else too!
take care
deb

I'm trying to find the thread re the family day in Markham.
Was wondering if it was time for something like this again and would be willing to co-ordinate it (everyone knows how organized I am )
But I need help finding the old thread and then I'll start a new one if anyone thinks this might be an okay idea.
A family day.
Many thanks and best wishes!
